  The Philadelphia Union dominated nearly every meaningful metric on Saturday night, but were ultimately left wanting more in a 0-0 draw against D.C. United at Subaru Park. Despite outshooting their rivals by a wide margin and not conceding a single shot on target, the Union couldn’t sneak one past DCU goalkeeper Sean Johnson. Philadelphia Union continues a busy stretch of games as they hit the road for a midweek clash at Toronto FC. Kick off is set for 7:30PM on Wednesday, April 22nd, with coverage on Apple TV. First Half Review Philadelphia came out electrified and never let up, generating wave after wave of attacking pressure.  Jesús Bueno nearly opened the scoring early, rattling the post in the 12th minute with a long distance effort. The Union continued to take chances, with Milan Iloski delivering dangerous service to his teammates, including a corner that nearly found Ezekiel Alladoh in front of goal.  As the half played on, the chances only got closer and closer....

  The Philadelphia Union (1-0-6) battled back from a deficit to ultimately defeat CF Montréal (1-0-6), securing their first win and points of the 2026 MLS season. Iván Jaime’s opener was canceled out by Union defender Japhet Sery Larsen’s header, before Jesús Bueno hammered home the winner. The result sees the Union lifted out of the Eastern Conference basement, and means the Union are safe from the ignominy of extending their franchise worst start to the season.  First Half Review The Philadelphia Union began the game with energy, and briefly controlled the tempo, but were unable to create any meaningful chances in their opening flurry. CF Montréal quickly took over, and the contest became a disjointed affair, featuring many fouls, yellow cards, and two VAR reviews.   The Philadelphia Union’s horrid start to the season continued with a sixth loss in a row, this time on the road at Charlotte FC. Playing through some dreadful weather in a back-and-forth game, the Union were unable to summon the quality necessary to secure their first points of the 2026 season. First Half Review The match started at a high pace. Charlotte saw a pair of chances from Pep Biel and Djibril Diani in the 4th and 6th minutes, but both missed narrowly wide. On the other end, Milan Iloski slotted the ball home after a through ball from Indiana Vassilev, but his goal was called back for offside. As the rain turned torrential, Charlotte took control of the game and found it much too easy to pass through the Union’s defensive lines.   The Chicago Fire earned a 2-1 road victory over the struggling Philadelphia Union at Subaru Park on Kids’ Day, powered by goals from Hugo Cuypers and Jonathan Bamba. Cuypers continued his strong start to the season, scoring his fourth goal late in the first half for the Fire (2-2-1, 7 points), who secured their first away win of the season. Fire  goalkeeper Chris Brady made three big saves as Chicago snapped a four-match winless run against Philadelphia and avenged last year’s playoff elimination. Philadelphia (0-5-0, 0 points) saw its difficult start continue, extending the worst opening ever by a reigning Supporters’ Shield winner.   The Philadelphia Union dropped a decisive loss to Atlanta United, losing their 4th game in a row. Atlanta largely broke through the Union’s press with ease, especially on the counter. On the other hand, Philly struggled to create, and were wasteful with their opportunities. However, they were able to find the back of the net for just the second time this season, the only silver lining in what was otherwise a dreadful display. First Half Review Philadelphia had the first real chance of the match early on in the 3rd minute. Makhanya used his body to win a challenge near the sideline, allowing Indiana Vassilev to find Milan Iloski. The West Coaster’s return pass was a perfectly weighted through ball to Vassilev again, whose cross picked out Bruno Damiani in the box, but the Uruguayan’s header flashed wide.   The Philadelphia Union’s home-opener did not go as planned, as the Union continued their disappointing start to the MLS season with a 2-1 loss to NYCFC. It was a heartbreaking night for the Boys in Blue, who fought their way back into the game after a rough first half, only to concede a red card and a winner in stoppage time. First Half Review The Union’s press seemed to create problems for City early on, but the away side grew into the game as the half progressed. NYCFC created a slew of chances starting in the 25th minute when Keaton Parks slipped a ball through to Agustin Ojeda, only for the Argentine to curl his shot off the post. NYCFC found their breakthrough in the 36th minute, when Nicolas Fernández ran into the Union box down the left side. Although Andre Blake saved his close-range shot, he could only parry it into the path of a wide-open Hannes Wolf, who smashed the ball home from close range.  Since we've now hit the World Cup break, I decided to review every single MLS game that Philadelphia Union have played thus far. I'll be giving a recap and a review of each game. First Half Review The opening half never quite found a rhythm, but Milan Iloski created the Union’s most dangerous moments. In the 21st minute, he sent one effort wide before forcing Sean Johnson into a sharp save just moments later. It was former Union striker Tai Baribo, however, who proved decisive. In the 23rd minute, he finished off a feed from João Peglow to give D.C. a 1-0 lead. Iloski nearly responded before halftime, bending a 30-yard free kick around the wall that Johnson managed to push aside. The Union went into the break trailing by one. Second Half  Review The Union came out with renewed urgency, and Iloski again tested Johnson in the 54th minute, driving a powerful effort that was tipped over the bar.   Despite a historic attacking performance and a first-half hat trick from Milan Iloski, the Philadelphia Union fell 6-4 to Inter Miami CF in a wild, record-setting match on Sunday night. The two sides combined for eight first-half goals, the most ever scored in the opening half of an MLS match, as the Union repeatedly fought back before Miami pulled away late behind a second-half brace from Luis Suárez and a stoppage-time goal from Rodrigo De Paul. First Half Review Philadelphia could not have asked for a better start, jumping ahead just four minutes into the match when Iloski finished off a move created by Frankie Westfield and Cavan Sullivan. Philadelphia Union faced Columbus Crew for the 2nd time this season at Subaru Park. Both teams have been struggling recently with a faulty defense from Columbus and an Attack that seems to be nonexistent from the boys in blue. Union were coming off a game of a game where they scored 3 whole goals and still lost the game in a 4-3 thriller.  First Half Review The Crew took a deserved 1-0 lead into halftime after controlling much of the opening 45 minutes against a disjointed Philadelphia Union side at Subaru Park.  The warning signs appeared early for the   Union when Bender picked up a yellow card in the ninth minute. Columbus immediately capitalized on the resulting set piece opportunity. André Gomes whipped a dangerous ball into the box that eventually fell to Hugo Picard at the top of the area, and the winger lofted his shot into the far corner in the 10th minute that left Blake with little chance.   Philadelphia Union face Orlando City SC at the Inter&Co Stadium on a midweek match day. Coming off a loss against New England Revolution , Union hopes to score some points before the World Cup break. Both Orlando and the Union currently sit at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with Orlando having the edge. Even if Union win today's game, they'll still be bottom of the table. Union have now gone 5 games straight without a win, earning 3 draws along the way.  What to Expect Both teams have been struggling massively recently as they both sit bottom of the table but Orlando's form recently has been decent. They've won 3 of their last 5 games whilst the boys in blue are winless in their last 5. Union has been benching Damiani more often than not recently so we'll probably see Cavan Sullivan starting once more. His brother Quinn has been closer than ever on his long recovery and we could see him playing soon. The World Cup break should be perfect for him ...

Philadelphia Union faced New England Revolution at the Gillette Stadium on Saturday. After finishing the game even against Nashville SC last Saturday, they came here hoping to secure some more points. Their results thus far have included 1 win, 3 draws, and 7 losses. New England came in with 6 wins, 1 draw, and 3 losses.  First Half Review As we've seen more often than not, Union came swinging out the gates and being dominant early on. Frankie Westfield was injured on the 25' minute and was subbed off shortly. The injury itself remains unclear. Iloski applying pressure on the 37' minute allowed Union to go ahead after New England scored an own goal.  Second Half Review Union kept the form early on in the 2nd half with multiple chances to go 2-0 clear but as per usual, we were unable to finish and nothing came from it. Philadelphia Union faced points leaders, Nashville SC on Saturday night. A case of David vs Goliath, they seemed destined to get destroyed. Coming off a 2-0 loss against Columbus Crew, moral seemed low. Union has home advantage for this game at Subaru Park but home advantage has proved to be much of a difference for the boys in blue this season.  First Half Review Union came swinging out the gates surprisingly as they seemed to be in Nashville's half majority of the time. A huge factor to this could be due to the fact that Nashville were playing their B team. Their best players like Espinoza or Mukhtar were on the bench to start the game. Cavan Sullivan was a starter for the third time this season. He proved to be a handful to the Nashville defense as he made many runs and played a few dangerous passes into the box but the score stayed leveled at the end of the first half Second Half Review The second half featured more of the same with Nashville having a few more attacks.   May the 4th be with you ! Philadelphia Union celebrate Star Wars weekend by facing Nashville SC at home. Nashville enter this game top of the league whilst Union sit at the very bottom where they've sat for the past 3 weeks now. Usually we would be calling home advantage but Union have managed to only score 1 point across 5 home games now. Our form has not been great coming into this game and we need our strikers to start striking.  What to Expect This will be a matter of damage limitation. Our defense hasn't exactly been bad and we haven't been conceding lots of goals. We currently sit tied for 8th across the Eastern Conference in terms of goals conceded despite being bottom of the table. Our biggest loss has been by 2 goals. Leaving this game with any points will be a huge win regardless of whether we'll still be bottom of the table or not.   Philadelphia Union capped off a busy week as they played their 3rd game in a week on Saturday night. During their 2nd straight away game, Columbus Crew ended our unbeaten streak of 3 games. This 2-0 loss keeps us last in standings with 5 points. The playoff qualifiers positions are currently sitting 7 points ahead.  First Half Review Columbus Crew came out the gates blazing with a goal in the 5' minute by Max Aftsten. He almost doubled their lead seconds later but Andre Blake pulled off an impressive save. Union were on the attack for the rest of the half with Iloski hitting the woodwork on the 15' minute. They had more chances after but they just couldn't find the net. In stoppage time of the first half, Harriel tried blocking a pass into the box but misjudged it and scored an own goal right before half time.  Second Half Review Union couldn't find many opportunities with their sole chance that made Columbus' crew work coming in the 64' minute. Where do I start. Despite us not getting the result we wanted, we had the most exciting game of our season thus far on Wednesday night. Some world class goals by our own and some late drama from Toronto ended the game at a 3:3 draw at BMO Field.   First Half Review Union mostly held possession for the first 20 minutes of the game with Westfield taking 2 free kicks that came dangerously close to going into the net. We saw 2 Toronto players get a yellow card in this duration. Toronto were the favorites going into this match and they started proving why during the 2nd half of the first half. Harriel had a save on the goal line on the 26' minute. Vassilev went down at the same time for about 5 minutes but he returned to the pitch shortly. On the 43' minute, Toronto's Josh Sargent had a clear shot on target in the box but Sery Larsen's tackle deflected the shot just in time to go wide.   Philadelphia Union will be facing Toronto FC today at BMO Field in Ontario. Following a draw against DC United and their first win against Montreal , the boys in blue will hope to continue their points scoring ways. After going winless in their first 6 games, Union have scored 4 points in the last 2 games. What to expect Union played a very strong game on Saturday against DC with dominating almost every stat possible. The only thing we lacked was the finishing. Our midfield and defense did what they're expected to do and gave Andre Blake a calm game. Toronto has started their season off nearly perfectly. They've gone unbeaten in their last 6 games. As impressive as this is, half of those were draws. Their defensive side hasn't been the best recently as they've conceded more than Union this season but our attack has also been subpar.   Philadelphia Union faced DC United on Saturday at Subaru Park. After winning at Montreal last week and securing 3 points, Philly look to carry the momentum to hopefully continue their playoff bid. The boys in Blue came into this game just 4 points shy of the playoff qualifiers which conveniently, DC United holds. A win here will be huge for our season and could flip the season around. First Half Recap Union straight up dominated the first half. Bueno, Alladoh, and Damiani all had great chances to score in this half but failed to do so. DC United's goalkeeper, Sean Johnson managed to keep DC in it throughout the first half. Despite being 4 points clear of Union, Union managed to have the upper hand. Second Half Recap Union continued what they did in the first half with firing non stop shots and creating opportunities. Shot after shot, they just couldn't get past Johnson.   Philadelphia Union faced 14th place Montreal on Saturday at Saputo Stadium in Canada for a clash between the bottom of the table. Both teams have had a horrible start to this season in MLS and need all the points they can get. Philadelphia in particular are 0-6 before this game.  First Half Review Philly started off strong as they held control for the first 10 minutes. Montreal were awarded a penalty on the 13' minute but was denied after further VAR review as Andre Blake got a touch on the ball. 10 minutes later, Montreal's Iván Jaime put the ball in the back of the net to let Montreal go one goal clear of Philadelphia.   Philadelphia Union will be facing Charlotte FC on Saturday night. The boys in blue have started the season with 5 straight losses, the worst start to a season in club history. Philly will be heading to Bank of America Stadium hoping to score their first points of the season.  Expected Lineups In goal, we can expect Andre Blake as per usual. Jamaica barely missed qualifying for the World Cup so Blakes horrible year keeps getting worse. Not much he can do as he has been the backbone of this team for years now. In defense, we expect to see Westfield , Makhanya , Harriel , and Ndinga . Westfield has shown some great bright spots this season. The only real bright spot of our defense. He's been receiving some of the highest match ratings of all the players this season and has played crucial for this current team. The midfield expects to see Lukic , Vasillev , Jacques , and Iloski . No real bright spots here. Finally, in the attack, we expect to see Damiani and Anello . I e...
