Expected Lineups
In goal, we can expect Andre Blake as per usual. Jamaica barely missed qualifying for the World Cup so Blakes horrible year keeps getting worse. Not much he can do as he has been the backbone of this team for years now. In defense, we expect to see Westfield, Makhanya, Harriel, and Ndinga. Westfield has shown some great bright spots this season. The only real bright spot of our defense. He's been receiving some of the highest match ratings of all the players this season and has played crucial for this current team. The midfield expects to see Lukic, Vasillev, Jacques, and Iloski. No real bright spots here. Finally, in the attack, we expect to see Damiani and Anello. I expect Bedoya, Bueno, and Bender to be subbed on depending on how the game will go.
Reasons to be excited?
After selling all of our key players, this team has looked worse than ever but is there any playoff hopes? We haven't been outright destroyed, losing by one goal most of the time. We're missing a little bit of everything. Our attack can't score or make good runs, our midfield has been wobbly on the transition, and the defense is slow. A few players are solid enough to rely on every game but they can only do so much. I expect another loss against Charlotte but every single Union fan needs to look towards the game after. We'll be playing Montreal who also have had a rough start. Every single team we've played so far has had a great start and are doing well in points. If we ever do get points, it will be at Montreal. Bradley Carnell has been improving this team slowly but surely and we've showed flashes of brilliance but we haven't been able to put it together.
